Missed appointment and No Show Policy
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made more than 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please call our office if you anticipate not showing for a scheduled appointment. This policy is in place to provide scheduling opportunities for other patients and encourage patients to call and cancel their appointments in a reasonable amount of time (48-hours). Please be considerate for another parent who may have a sick child that need to be seen.
No Show Policy
Patients will be charged a "no-show" fee for all missed appointments, and dismissal from the practice may result after subsequent no-shows.
A - REGULAR PATIENTS
1st Missed Appointment: The patient may receive a warning
2nd Missed Appointment: Patient will receive a bill for a no-show fee of $50.
3rd Missed Appointment: The patient will receive a bill for a no-show fee of $100. They will then be warned that another missed appointment may result in dismissal from the practice.
B - MISSED DOUBLE APPOINTMENT (2 children at the same time)
These patients will be restricted from scheduling double appointments in the future. The patient’s file will be flagged. The family will be responsible for appropriate missed appointment fees per patient.
C - MISS consultation appointment, or counselling/ developmental appointment (60mins -90mins) appointment:
These patients will be charged a $300 no show fee.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Any physical violence (physical attacks or threats of harm) and verbal aggression (abusive language, yelling, disrespectful remarks, threats or harassment) in person, over the phone or in any means of communication will not be tolerated and is subject to dismissal from our practice.
